The 2 days prophecy Hosea 6:1-2; Daniel 9:24-27

The children of Israel were sick spiritually like the world is sick today with ungodliness and often the judgment of God takes the ungodly by surprise; maybe because of their refusal to know the truth about godliness. God had warned them through many ways and forms, but some still harden their hearts just as some are today still in rejection of Jesus Christ.

When Christ was rejected by the Jews, He wept over Jerusalem and talked of what will happen to Jerusalem see Lk 21:20-24. So Jesus said He will return to His place until Israel seeks Him (Hosea 5:15); Hosea’s prophecy is fulfilled in Matthew 23: 37- 24:1.

Nevertheless, as Jesus walked away from the temple, rejected by the Jews, He then turned and preached to the Gentiles ie the Samaritans. The Samaritans believed in the good news of Christ unto salvation (John 4:39-40). You see the Samaritans were a mixed people ie primarily gentiles, but some were Jews in marriage.

We read that the gentiles begged Jesus to stay with them a little while and Christ accepted to stay with them for 2 days verse 40. This was the beginning of the birth of the church age. However, after the 69 weeks of God’s calendar with Israel. Jesus’ walking out of the temple was the closure of the Jewish calendar and the beginning of the church age even though the church was born on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2.

The 2 days is prophetic language for 2000 years, a day to the Lord is like a thousand years (1000yrs) in our sight (Ps 90:4; 2Pet 3:8). According to Daniel’s prophecy, we are given the specifics & the details of the church age, and in verse 25 of Dan 9 it says ‘69th weeks for the rebuilding of Jerusalem’; and also what will happen in the 70th week.

During the 70th week of Daniel’s prophecy, there shall be a 7years for a week ie week of years. This prophecy is after the 2days of Hosea 6:2 and on the third day He will revive us to reign with him. This will be the millennium reign.

The focus of the 7 years will be on the Jews even though the crowd will also be there. But before the 7 years, a mystery will take place called the rapture of the church and Paul mentioned the event of things before the day of the Lord will take place (2Thes 2:3-8). Paul said first there shall be the falling away from the faith; the revealing of the man of sin (antichrist);

We know that treaties with Israel will take place as we are seeing them happening before our eyes, just as many end time things are playing out just as the bible says they would. Note the person of the antichrist is not yet revealed, but his spirit is already at work right now in the world, one of which is deception.

During the 2 days or 2000years, the church shall be raptured, after which the world will then enter the 70th week. Hence, it is by this time when the 7years period will come to play. The man of lawlessness will sign a 7years treaty with Israel for which he will let peace reign for 3 and a half years. In the last three and a half years, he will break the treaty and exalt himself as God, (Lk 21:24) therefore forcing everyone in the world then to worship him.

During that time there shall be one religion, one economy etc, and of course the time of the mark of the beast (the 666). Do not be ignorant of the devil’s devices already at work in the world my brothers & sisters! God’s angels warn us in a loud cry; do not take the mark (Rev 14:9-10).

There are two gaps of an unspecified number of years within the framework of the seventy weeks; the first gap is between the seven weeks (Dan 9:25) and the second is between the sixty-nine weeks and the 70th weeks (Dan 9:26-27). Friends it is safe to recognize the broad timeline that the scripture sets out, but we must and need to remain silent where scripture is silent.

Using the broad timeline, the prophetic agenda that Daniel sees is as follows; first the decree to rebuild Jerusalem (Dan 9:25a; also see Ezra 1:1-4; Isa 44:28-45).

The mystery of the 2days starts with the mystery of the 144000 & the 2 witnesses of Daniel’s 70th week (Dan 9:27; Matt 24:15-22) is that Jesus cooperated Daniel’s prophecy & this will go on until the Abaddon. Then the great tribulation will be in the last 3 and a half years of the 7 years of Daniel’s 70th week see Matt 24:29-30 which will also be the final part of judgment; and finally, glory hallelujah the coming our Lord Jesus Christ (Rev 19:11-20; Rev 20:2).

The church of Christ is the one thing restraining Satan right now from taking over the world as he wants to; otherwise he would have done so. The church can restrain him because the church is still here and living according to God’s vision. God’s vision of the ages glory goes to Christ Jesus through the church (Eph 3:20-21). Therefore, as long as the church is not yet raptured, Satan cannot fully control the world as he would like to.

The Jews and the Gentiles will say ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord… oh blessed by God forever more Amen.
